Vision & Mission

The future begins now and as such, Alter Eco intends to achieve, with imagination and commitment, a Social Enterprise based upon art, both decorative and functional, where everyone profits, and the ‘Triple Bottom Line’ (Economic, Social and Environmental), benefits all.

Alter Eco is a home-based, sole proprietorship in the Arts & Crafts Industry. We have been creating original, decorative and functional sculptures from recycled metals and found materials since 2002. During this period, we have been selling at art shows, e-commerce and doing commissions in the GTA area. Recently we developed a gift line and jewellery, which we are marketing weekly in the Historic St. Lawrence Market area.

Beginning in January 1, 2004, with new designs, we will be expanding our marketing to include commercial work, wholesale and consignment with high-end galleries. Also, we have an opportunity to share workspace and equipment to handle the increased output.

We look forward todeveloping strategic alliances with others that share a similar commitment. Our goal is to achieve recognition of the work that we create and the philosophy of sustainability in business and in life.
